A Santa Rosa family enjoys Music Together Online with a song led by our Director, Ginger, and her son. This program is wonderful for families to connect musically, and keep their children's musical development supported while keeping safe from Covid-19 exposure.
Ginger teaches a Zoom class. These classes allow children freedom to be in their own homes, and move about as they need to, while they and their families engage with music-making. We limit the number of Zoom boxes on the screen to 16, so we can see everyone and better engage with the children.

With Music Together Online, you get the same high-quality music and movement curriculum loved by millions of families and teachers around the world—from home!
During each live Zoom class, our teachers will lead activities for you and your whole family to sing, play, and jam along to.
And, you'll find that you have plenty items around your house to make music with- the teachers will show you how to make everyday items like dish towels, pots, spoons, and stuffed animals into musical instruments and props! Scroll down to see what our families have said about the online program.

This spring we are offering one Mixed Age class (newborn to age 5) online, Thursdays at 5:30, April 13 to June 8.
More about the MIXED AGE ONLINE program:
Mixed Age classes are appropriate for small infants to 5-year-olds, but the whole family is encouraged to participate!

TUITION INCLUDES:

A weekly 45-minute Zoom class led by a trained and experienced early childhood music educator.

A dedicated "Family Portal" page on our website with access to supplemental content throughout the session.

Occasional pre-recorded "bonus" videos, that you can access any time. These might include a favorite song done a special way, musical crafts, lullabies, song covers, parent education, and more.

A weekly special Zoom experience: Singalong Storybook/Lullaby Time (20-25 minutes)- every Monday at 6:45!

Printables and other downloadable family resources, including coloring pages and musical games.

Maracas Song Collection materials (songbook, CD, download code). For spring, I will be arranging local pick up locations for the materials. We will mail them to online families who do not live locally.

Digital access to your music through both the Hello Everybody App (on a device) and the Family Music Zone (on a computer).
Wait, screen time?
We know screen time isn’t generally recommended for young children, but here’s the difference: YOU!
When children stare at a screen and passively receive information, they don’t take it in the same way nor do they learn in the same way as when they have the active participation of a caregiver or parent. So, just like in our classes, you’re still the most important part. A teacher will be on the screen, but it is truly the interaction of the parent/caregiver with the child that will support their music development! We will give you lots of fun activities and ideas to do at home!
Also, please remember, children do not generally sit still! We don’t expect them to do so in class, so please don’t expect them to at home! You just keep making music with the teacher on the screen, follow along, and have faith your child is getting a ton of info and education from your involvement, even if they move about the room!
